Alpha Lipoic Acid IV Therapy

Antioxidant power. Cellular defense. Metabolic resilience.

Overview

What is Alpha Lipoic Acid?

Most antioxidants are limited; they can only work in water-based or fat-based environments, not both. Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is the rare exception. It is soluble in both water and fat, which means it can cross into virtually any tissue in the body, including the brain and peripheral nerves, and neutralize damaging free radicals in environments where other antioxidants cannot reach. ALA is produced naturally by the body in small amounts, but as oxidative stress accumulates, from sun exposure, processed food, environmental toxins, chronic stress, or simply the passage of time, the body’s endogenous supply is rarely enough to keep pace with the demand for cellular repair.

When delivered intravenously at Elysian Institute, ALA bypasses the digestive system and reaches therapeutic concentrations in the bloodstream that oral supplementation cannot match. This is the key distinction between ALA as a wellness add-on and ALA as a clinical-grade intervention. Our licensed nursing team administers it as a premium IV boost alongside a qualifying infusion, tailored to your individual health goals and current protocol.

Benefits

Key benefits of IV Alpha Lipoic Acid

ALA therapy is especially valuable for clients pursuing longevity and anti-aging goals, those managing metabolic health conditions, individuals experiencing chronic inflammation or persistent fatigue, and anyone seeking to amplify the results of their current IV protocol. Because ALA actively regenerates glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant, it creates a multiplier effect when the two are combined, making it a powerful pairing within our IV boost menu.

ALA also plays a meaningful role in supporting clients who are regularly exposed to oxidative stressors: athletes undergoing high training loads, professionals with demanding schedules, or individuals in environments with elevated pollution or chemical exposure. Sessions are comfortable and take place in our calm, supervised infusion suite. Your provider will recommend the right combination based on your intake and wellness objectives.

As with all IV and IM services at Elysian, treatment is administered by our Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners. Every protocol is individualized; we do not offer one-size-fits-all infusions.
